hello! i’m meyer (he/him). i’m an herbalist, artist, and writer based in new haven, ct.
cricket botanicals is named after my cat / child / best friend, and is a container for my herbal products and various other offerings.
this business began in the mountains of western north carolina, where i learned to farm herbs and flowers (pictured here with my first harvest of chamomile).
i’m passionate about nervous system regulation, mutual aid, mycelium webs, death acceptance, creative re-use, dirt, birds, reptiles, printmaking, and connecting with the more-than-human worlds of nature as a means of navigating this extremely painful era of the late capitolocene.
cricket is passionate about playing, drinking water and taking naps (also things i love).
working with herbs helps me so immensely with challenges like chronic pain and depression. it is my hope that the things i make might help you, too, in some small way. all products offered in this shop are things i use myself, and i truly love creating them.
